How can a magazine with all of its content created by kids—completely packed with their stories, essays, poems, games, and art—fit even more student work? Now at Creative Kids, we’re letting young people design the pages!
Original designs in all media are welcome as we search for unique art to showcase the best work of students ages 8–16. Pencil, ink, marker, paint, and computers are all great tools for creating page backgrounds. For the upcoming winter issue of CK, our own designer, Allegra Denbo, splattered paints on a watercolored sheet of paper to create the background below, which appears on page 7.
This is a great creative activity for your students to work on, both as a class project or over the holiday break. Be sure to share the guidelines with all the creative kids you know!
