As I wrote in an earlier blog ("Changing Mindsets in the Classroom"), the topic of mindsets and how teachers influence students' thinking about achievement is quite fascinating. However, much of the data regarding teachers and mindsets in the classroom is still fairly sparse. Two of Prufrock's authors, Claire Hughes and Mary Cay Ricci, are currently working to change that by collecting information from teachers about how they provide feedback, particularly how they motivate students, in the classroom.
