If you haven't yet explored the work being done by the NEA Master Teacher Project, now is the time to check out the thousands of Common Core-aligned ready-to-use lessons designed by real teachers for real classrooms. Convenient, classroom-tested lessons are offered for every grade level in both mathematics and English language arts. Lessons can also be searched by teacher, allowing you to easily follow the work of an instructor you like, and "similar lessons" are suggested at the bottom of each page.
The BetterLesson blog highlights some of the most interesting units (such as Jessica Keigan's unit on A Tale of Two Cities) and contains other reflections from classroom teachers. At this early time in the CCSS implementation process, when so many teachers are overwhelmed by the adjustment and so many claims from large textbook companies are proving false, this collaborative resource could prove very valuable.
